Château la Nerthe: A 500-year-old tradition

picture

It is one of the oldest wineries in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, dating back to 1560.
The vineyards of Nerthe are planted with all 13 grape varieties permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The vineyard itself is a miniature version of the Châteauneuf soil, and is often referred to as a "little Châteauneuf-du-Pape".
The diversity of the soil is the key to the complexity of Nerthe's wines.

Its quality is highly regarded by star-ranked restaurants and famous critics around the world, including Robert Parker said,

"Château la Nerthe is the only exquisite chateau in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, rich in history and producing sublime wines.

Today, Nerthe's wines have the aging potential to rival Bordeaux's first growths and the complexity of great Burgundy.

There is no doubt that this wine is of world-class quality, and represents the pinnacle of a great terroir and a great wine-producing region."
