The 30-year-old Quinta de la Rosa Tawny Port is showing its age well. A long, slow maturation in old wooden pipes (550L barrels) has given this magnificent amber wine enormous elegance and complexity. On the nose, there are dried fruit aromas with touches of balsamic vinegar, coffee, and exotic wood: just some of the many components of this complex wine. The palate is simply delicious – light, yet with incredible intensity of flavour and a long, mouth-filling finish.
