2022 Rosso di Montalcino, La Magia
2023 Rosso di Montalcino, La Magia, Tuscany, Italy
Red • Dry • Full Bodied • Sangiovese
Ready - youthful
Description
Taken from the youngest vines at the property (still 15 – 20 years old), La Màgia’s Rosso toes the line between being a baby Brunello (in terms of fruit quality) and a pure-bred Rosso (in terms of style). The wine sees a brief cold maceration before a cool fermentation in stainless steel, protecting and pushing to the fore all of the racy aromatics and coiled energy. The palate is filled with fresh raspberry, black cherry and plum with a very subtle herbal note.

James Suckling 91/100
A graceful, stylish, spicy wine. The nose shows cinnamon, dried flowers, raspberries and strawberries. The attack is supple, with a light to medium body and crisp acidity. Crunchy tannins and a juicy finish overall, with a savory blood orange aftertaste. From organically grown grapes.
