The 2023 season was unusually cool, prompting repeated sampling to determine the precise moment of optimal ripeness. Harvest took place in late October, and the fermentation process was handled with meticulous care—guided by tasting, controlled pump-overs, and a press regime that separated fractions to avoid harsh tannins. The result is a truly sensual wine, further elevated by the use of new American oak bourbon barrels, which lend richness and complexity.
Deep berry fruit, smooth tannins, and a full, expressive mid-palate lead into a long, silky finish. This wine is built to age gracefully over the next ten years.
