2022 ヴォルネイ、コント・アルマン
2022 Volnay, Comte Armand, Burgundy
Red • Dry • Medium Bodied • Pinot Noir
Ready - youthful
Description
Paul’s village Volnay comes from two parcels: some younger vines from Les Famines and a proportion of older vines from Grand Champs. This is floral and vibrant with pure notes of bright, red fruits which linger on the palate. It is an elegant and charming wine.

Neal Martin 89-91/100
The 2022 Volnay Village, which comes from the lieux-dits of Les Grands Champs and Les Famines, has a perfumed and floral bouquet of pressed iris and violet infusing the black cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, not velvety, but it has a pleasing smoothness, slightly savoury towards the finish at the moment. Fine. Drink 2025 - 2035

Jasper Morris MW 89-92/100
Mid crimson to purple, with some reduction on the nose. A concentrated dark raspberry fruit, still with this reductive element. If and when that clears there is a fine long finish to look forward to instead. Impressive fruit in the end, so scored on the assumption that the reduction will clear. Drink 2028 - 2034
