2013 Charmes-Chambertin, Grand Cru, Camille Giroud, Burgundy
Red • Dry • Medium Bodied • Pinot Noir
Ready - at best
Description
The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, by Camille Giroud, is medium pink purple and has a pleasing seductive nose, as Charmes should have. Luxurious, silky, creamy, and with a little touch of oak, it is altogether a classical rendition of the appellation.

Neal Martin 91-93/100
The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a well-defined, mineral-driven bouquet that expands wonderfully in the glass, a very typical Charmes for the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, lithe tannin interlaced with pretty dark cherry and citrus fruit. The finish is wonderfully poised with great length. This is one of David Croix's best 2013s. Drink 2017 - 2035

The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin is all about sensuality. Silky tannins are shape-textured, resonant Charmes that should drink well with minimal cellaring. Bright stone fruit and sweet floral notes are nicely pushed forward in this pretty, super-expressive Burgundy. Drink 2018 - 2033
