2003 バローロ、ヴィーニャ・リオンダ、ルイージ・オッデーロ
2003 Barolo, Vigna Rionda, Luigi Oddero, Piedmont, Italy
Red • Dry • Full Bodied • Nebbiolo
Ready - at best
Description
There’s a noticeably redder tinge to the 2003 Vigna Rionda, a hue one often associates with Serralunga Barolos, probably on account of the mineral rich soils. And the nose is certainly more lifted and upright than the understated Rocche dei Rivera, with more strawberry fruit definition and intensity along with leather and cigar.
The palate is lusher with ‘sweet’ summer fruit, flesh on the bone, a firm but fine structure, more presence and masculinity than the svelte Rocche dei Rivera. There’s more of a sunny glow about this wine; a wine that’s calling out for a fillet steak. Decant an hour before drinking but will keep.
