2019 Volnay, Champans, 1er Cru, Domaine François Buffet

From vines planted in the 1950s with some whole bunches used. Light purple with a pink edge. The bouquet needs searching out. A little on the lean side despite the ripeness of the fruit, and perhaps a touch astringent to finish. Longer elevage may round the Champans out.
