I would like to inform you of an update to our shipping procedures and charges.

Effective from shipment 225, all sea and air freight charges, as well as any applicable duties and taxes, will be payable upon confirmation of shipment rather than upon arrival in Japan. This adjustment is intended to help streamline the shipping process and reduce the time between the arrival of the shipment and its delivery to you. The entire cost of the delivery, inclusive of last mile, will now be charged in GBP via your registered card, allowing us to skip the step of having to confirm your Japanese card details at every delivery.

For deliveries within Japan, the following charges will apply via Yamato Cool Delivery Service:

• ¥1,500 per 6-bottle cas
• Minimum delivery charge: ¥3,000 (equivalent to 2 x 6-bottle cases)
• Covers all of Japan except Okinawa
• An additional ¥2,000 surcharge applies for deliveries to Okinawa
• Charges will be processed in GBP using the exchange rate in effect for the month of billing

These charges will be included in the total shipment cost charged at the point of shipment confirmation. We provide free short-term storage of customers’ Private Reserves in Japan for no more than 30 calendar days after notification of arrival. The Customer agrees to accept delivery within this time unless otherwise agreed in advance before the notification of arrival. Failure to do so will incur additional storage charges at ¥100 per bottle per month, billed annually in advance in GBP. Please note that our next sea freight shipment 225 to Japan will close strictly on 18th of September. Expected delivery date: After the end of February 2027.
