Vineyards in both the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Beaune are always the backbone of this wine, along with young vines from more prized appellations. This year’s contributors are Gevrey-Chambertin (from Brochon) and Volnay. It’s all destemmed in ’20, the fruit very direct and crunchy with some beautifully soft, chalky tannins. This is a delicious and positive wine.
